RHOP applications due Dec. 1

Chadron State College is encouraging Nebraska high school seniors seeking a career in the health professions to apply for a position in the Rural Health Opportunities Program. The application deadline is Dec. 1.

Founded in 1990, RHOP is a collaborative program between Chadron State College and the University of Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha. Students selected to the program complete pre-professional training at CSC and are pre-admitted to professional programs at UNMC.

After training, the RHOP participants are encouraged to return to rural areas of the state to provide quality health care.

RHOP positions are available for medicine, pharmacy dentistry, dental hygiene, nursing, clinical lab science, physical therapy, physician assistant and radiography.
